Popular cross platform instant messaging app whatsapp has finally returned to Windows Phone. Whatsapp was removed from Windows Phone Marketplace for a huge fix-up. This step came after many users reported several bugs they encounter while using whatsapp which included the notification bug. Cause of the bug is believed to be an Windows 8.1 update which uses a different core than other windows 7.x.x and windows 8.0 core.
On May 31st 2014, Whatsapp returned to Windows Marketplace. The piece of software which was of 6 MB is now 15 MB in size. Several features which Whatsapp did not have for windows were finally included:
1. its a 15 MB update.
2. Windows Phone users, specially those who are using (7.x.x) phone like Lumia 510 and others with windows 8.0 and higher gets an option to disable Auto-Download Media.
3. Users can now set Background Images either from free whatsapp gallery which has 25+ images, or from users personal photos, or you can search for phots on web for chats.
4. A new interface for Profile. Now u get Profile Picture, Name, and Status option on a single interface.
5. Improved Whatsapp Works 5X faster than other versions. Current Whatsapp version which is available in Windows Marketplace is 2.11.490.
